Today, West Java has Asia’s largest waterpark

At this historic date, 12/12/12, Indonesia has had a waterpark claimed to be the largest in Asia. Today, Taman Wisata Mekarsari, Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, West Java launched the “Water Kingdom Mekarsari“.

“Water Kingdom Mekarsari consists of 5.2 hectare areas and directly connected with a lake of 27 hectares,” said Raditya G Wardhana, Operational Director of Water Kingdom Mekarsari, on the sidelines of its launching.

Water Kingdom is a part of Taman Wisata Mekarsari, a tourism park that can accommodate up to 15,000 visitors. At the waterpark, there will be 12 water games that consist of eight pools, four slides and one water sports.

“With the size and number of games, Water Kingdom Mekarsari is the biggest in Asia,” added Raditya, as quoted from Republika (12/12/12).

Raditya explained that Water Kingdom Mekarsari has a lazy river for 600m, the longest waving pool in the country. There are also Boomerang slides with 118m length and 15.8m of tower height.

In supporting the visitors convenience, Water Kingdom Mekarsari prepared a number of supporting facilities, among others, 17 food stalls, three restaurants, coffee shop. juice corner, and two bars near the pools.

For those who want to enjoy the watermark, entrance fees per person will be Rp 50,000 (US$ 7) on weekdays and Rp 95,000 (US$ 11) on weekends. But on this promotional period (up to 16/12/12), Water Kingdom Mekarsari provides discount up to 75 percent.

Why shall wait any longer? Prove whether it deserves to be the Asia’s largest waterpark.
